COMMUNITY SPRING TEAMS

ES Lions - Community Experience

Entering our second season, the ES Lions Community Program is designed for families looking for a lower-commitment, locally focused Spring hockey experience. This option blends meaningful competition with skill development, smaller teams, and a fun, community-driven environment. We are proud to once again partner with the Transcend Athletics Spring Hockey League to deliver an organized, well-run league experience close to home.

Program Structure & Philosophy

Our Community Program focuses on building confident, skilled, and connected athletes. The environment is non-contact, development-focused, and intentionally structured to ensure players enjoy the game while growing in their abilities.

Teams will be formed by age groups where enough interest is expressed (U13, U15, U18), with careful consideration given to:

  • League parity (balanced teams)
  • A mix of skill sets on each roster
  • Friend requests (as appropriate)

Each team will consist of smaller rosters, 15 skaters and one goalie, to maximize ice time, involvement, and development.

All Community teams will also experience a variety of off-ice team building and enrichment opportunities, which include:

  • Leadership and character workshops
  • Off-ice and mobility training
  • Team culture sessions
  • Give-back/service opportunities

These experiences help reinforce the ES Lions commitment to developing players on and off the ice.
